Sreem Turbines offers a comprehensive range of steam turbines up to 5MW, with customization to meet the unique requirements of the customer for particular application. The range of supply includes from single stage Saturated Turbines to multi valve, Multi stage turbines of Straight Condensing, Controlled/Uncontrolled Extraction, Back pressure, Extraction Back pressure.

Sreem Turbines are rated for inlet steam conditions upto 92 bara/505 degree centigrade and speeds upto 10,000 rpm.

Standard scope includes

  • Steam turbine and its control system
  • Alternator
  • Control oil system Electrical metering/ control/ protection system
  • Condensing system
  • Gear box
  • Lubricating oil system
  • Turbo visory system

Condensing type steam turbines operates with exhaust pressure less than atmospheric (Vacuum Pressure). These experiences maximum pressure drop which results in greater energy for steam input. The steam is expanded to convert Heat Energy into Mechanical Energy as output at shaft. Bleeds are used for Dearater and Heaters. Used in Captive Power Plants. Can be offered with Water cooled or Air cooled Condenser.

Technical Data

Design :   Impulse, Multi stage
Power output :   Max. 10 MW
Inlet Steam Pressure :   65 bara
Inlet Steam Temperature :   480° Centigrade
Exhaust Steam Pressure :   0.1 bara

Extraction Condensing Turbines have opening(s) in casing for extraction of portion of steam at intermediate pressure for process requirement based on seasonal variations these turbines provide constant pressure through control extraction. Flow control valves are used to maintain/control of the steam conditions. This Type is applied to a process where Steam Pressure is of Critical importance. Controlled extraction condensing type turbines are usually used in Co-generation application and offer maximum cycle efficiency to the user.

Technical Data

Design :   Impulse, Multi stage
Power output :   Max. 10 MW
Inlet Steam Pressure :   65 bara
Inlet Steam Temperature :   480° Centigrade
Extraction Pressure :   3 to 6 bara
Exhaust Steam Pressure :   0.1 bara

Back Pressure Turbines operates with exhaust pressure equal to (or) in excess of atmospheric pressure. The steam in the back pressure turbine is expanded to the pre-determined pressure and sent to the process requirement. Usually this type of turbines are used in cogen applications. For same power rating the cost of turbine is less compared to Condensing Turbine due to its small size. The exhaust steam is connected to the process header.

The turbo set consists of a back-pressure turbine with an asynchronous or synchronous generator. The entire turboset designed as a compact unit installed on a common base frame requires minimum maintenance. This equipment can also replace a pressure reducing valve to utilize pressure drop of steam for electric power generation.
